1、be動詞包括am,is,are三個詞。

2、Am、is、are這三個詞常在一般現在時中出現，我們可以將其用法歸納如下：

am、is用于主語表單數概念的句中（主語是you除外）。

第一人稱單數I配合am來用，常見句型“I am+…”；第三人稱單數He、 She 、 It配合is使用，

常見句型“She/He/It is +…”如：

I am ten years old.

I am a boy.

She is a good girl.

He is so thin.

It  is  a  dog.  它是一只狗。

Are主要用于主語表復數概念的句中

 Are主要用于主語表復數概念的句中（包括一些簡單集體名詞，如：people，family），第二人稱(You)配合are使用，常見句型：“You are+…”

如：

You are great.

Amy and Mary are sisters.蘇海和蘇洋是姐妹。

The family are all at home.全家人都在家。

There  are   many  apples  on  the  tree. 樹上有很多蘋果。

代詞you是一個單復數同形詞，既可表示“你”，又可表示“你們”，所以避免混淆，總是跟are做朋友。

注意：含有be動詞的句子的否定是在把not放在be動詞的后面。

如：    

     I  am  not  a  student.  我不是學生。

      The  cat  isn’t  white.這只貓不是白色的。

      They aren’t students.他們不是學生。

常見的簡縮形式的變法

1、簡縮形式的變法：把倒數第二個字母，通常是元音字母變成' 但are除外， are要把a打成' 。

Eg:I am=I’m    he is=he's    they are=they're

    she is=she’s     we  are=we’re   it is=it’s

 2、簡縮形式和完全形式的漢語意思相同。

 3、記住一個特殊變化；let's =let us 讓我們（不要把' 變成i）

 4、記住：this is 沒有簡縮形式 this's(錯誤)

 5、否定的簡寫形式：is not=isn’t     are  not=aren’t  

be動詞用法口訣

我用am，你用are，is連接他，她，它。

單數名詞用is，復數名詞全用are。變疑問，往前提，句末問號莫丟棄。

變否定，更容易，be后not莫忘記。疑問否定任你變，句首大寫莫遲疑。
